Terms and conditions

1. Who we are
Future Taxi is part of Danesh vof (Chamber of Commerce 77205782, VAT ID NL860934433B01). These terms apply to every ride you book with us, and Danesh vof is the party you contract with and the party named on your invoice.
Future Taxi provides pre-booked passenger transport: you reserve in advance, we do not operate from a taxi rank. There is no visitor address, we come to you.
2. Booking and confirmation
You can book online for rides between 06:00 and 23:00, with a minimum notice of 3 hours for same-day rides. Need an earlier time or a ride outside those hours? Call or WhatsApp, it's often still possible.
As soon as you submit the reservation, the ride is agreed and goes into our schedule. You receive a confirmation email with your ride details straight away. If anything in that email is wrong, get in touch and we'll adjust it.
3. Prices
Our 2026 rates are: € 4.31 base fare, € 3.17 per kilometre and € 0.52 per minute. All amounts include 9% VAT.
A minimum fare of € 30.00 applies to every ride. Even a short ride requires driving to you, the ride itself, and returning, around half an hour. From roughly 8 kilometres the minimum no longer applies.
If you do not pay for the ride upfront, the price shown to you when booking is the agreed indicative price. It is calculated from the distance from your address and the expected drive time at the chosen moment. The final price may differ if the route changes en route at your request, in case of exceptional delay, or if waiting time arises beyond the free waiting time.
If you choose to pay for the whole ride upfront, the amount you pay at that moment is a fixed price. If the ride runs long because of traffic, congestion or a diversion, you pay nothing extra afterwards. If it turns out shorter than expected, that price equally stands: the agreement works both ways.
That fixed price covers the ride as you booked it. If you want to add an address en route, go somewhere else, or have us wait longer, that is a change to the ride; the difference is then charged at the rates above.
For rides between Amsterdam Airport Schiphol and The Hague and its surroundings a fixed price of € 120.00 applies, in both directions. That price is per ride and not per person, and does not change with the time of day, the traffic or the actual driving time. If the metered price for your ride is lower than this amount, you pay the metered price. Outside The Hague and its surroundings this fixed price does not apply and we charge according to the rates above.
There is no night tariff, no weekend surcharge and no luggage surcharge.
4. Payment
When booking you choose what you pay upfront. If we pick you up in The Hague and its surroundings, you pay nothing in advance: you settle the whole ride in the car, at drop-off. If you prefer to arrange it beforehand, you pay for the whole ride at once and the fixed price in article 3 applies.
We drive rides from or to The Hague and its surroundings. If the pickup address is outside that area we will come out to you, but you pay half of the fare upfront instead of settling in the car. You settle the other half in the car, or you choose to pay for the whole ride upfront. The reason is that for such a ride we first drive out to you empty, which keeps the car occupied for much longer.
You can pay by iDEAL or by debit or credit card. If you pay half upfront, you settle the rest in the car afterwards. Business clients can ride on account by arrangement, with a monthly invoice including a VAT breakdown.
5. Cancellation and changes
Up to 24 hours before the agreed pickup time you can cancel free of charge and receive the amount paid upfront back in full. Refunds are processed within 5 working days.
If you cancel within 24 hours of the ride and you paid upfront, we retain a € 10.00 cancellation fee. If you settle the ride in the car, you have paid nothing upfront and cancelling costs you nothing. The slot generally cannot be filled again at that point, so please let us know as early as you can.
If you paid half upfront because we pick you up outside The Hague and its surroundings, we retain 25% of the fare when you cancel within 24 hours. You get the remainder of the amount paid upfront back. For such a ride the car is committed for a long stretch, and that gap cannot be filled with other rides a day in advance.
If you cancel within 3 hours of the agreed pickup time, we retain 25% of the fare. Within 2 hours we retain the full fare. The driver is then on the way or standing by, the costs have been incurred and the slot can no longer be filled.
We never retain more than you actually paid. If you paid nothing upfront, we retain nothing either, even for a cancellation shortly before the ride. We do not invoice anything afterwards.
Changing the time or address is always free of charge, as long as the ride has not started and the change fits the schedule. Contact us by phone or WhatsApp to arrange it.
If we are unable to carry out the ride, you receive everything you paid upfront back in full and we will actively help you find alternative transport.
6. Waiting time and no-show
At a pickup address we allow 5 minutes of free waiting time after the agreed time. For airport pickups, 60 minutes of free waiting time applies, counted from the actual landing time of your flight.
After that we charge the regular per-minute rate of € 0.52 per minute.
If you do not appear at the agreed location without notice, this counts as a no-show. If you paid upfront, that amount is forfeited. If you paid nothing upfront, because you were going to settle the ride in the car, we charge you nothing. Let us know as soon as you know you'll be late, in almost every case we sort it out together.
7. Luggage, passengers and pets
The car seats up to 4 passengers, with 2 large suitcases. Travelling with more luggage or a larger group? Get in touch in advance so we can arrange a suitable car.
If the luggage does not fit safely in the car, we may refuse to carry it. Loose luggage in the cabin is dangerous in an emergency stop, so bringing more than fits is not a matter of rearranging. Tell us in advance what you are bringing: then we arrange a larger car, rather than leaving you without transport at departure.
We don't carry a child seat ourselves, young children are welcome to travel on a lap. Pets are welcome in a carrier or on a lead, please also let us know in advance.
8. Conduct in the car
Smoking is not permitted in the car, and this includes e-cigarettes. Eating and drinking in the car is not allowed; if you need something on the way, let us know and we will stop briefly.
Wearing a seatbelt is mandatory, in the front and in the back. This is a legal requirement for which the driver is liable; we cannot carry anyone who does not wear one.
If the car is soiled we charge a fixed amount. These amounts cover not only the cleaning itself, but also the time the car is out of service, driving to the car wash, waiting, and driving back:
- Vomiting inside the car: € 350.00. The interior then needs professional cleaning and the car is out of service for the rest of the day.
- Vomiting on the outside of the car, for example out of the window: € 70.00. This covers the wash and the time it takes to drive there and back.
For other serious soiling or damage to the interior we charge the actual repair costs, supported by an invoice.
Feeling unwell during the ride? Say so straight away. We'll pull over without any objection, that's better for everyone than the amounts above.
9. Refusal of carriage
We may refuse a ride or end one along the way. We do not do so lightly, but the driver only drives when it can be done safely, for you, for fellow passengers and for himself.
- Passengers who are visibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Aggressive, threatening, discriminatory or otherwise improper behaviour towards the driver or fellow passengers.
- Luggage or goods that do not fit safely in the car, or that are dangerous or prohibited.
- Refusing to wear a seatbelt, or not following the driver's safety instructions.
- More passengers than there are seatbelts; we never carry anyone without their own seat.
If we refuse on one of these grounds, what you paid upfront is retained as compensation for the reserved time. If we end a ride along the way, you pay for the distance up to that point.
We work in line with the Dutch taxi collective labour agreement (cao Taxivervoer) and our own policy. Among other things this governs the driver's driving and rest hours, which may mean we cannot accept a ride or have to move it. We always let you know as early as possible.
10. Liability
We do everything we can to get you to your destination on time and plan with a margin. We are not liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond our control, traffic jams, road closures, extreme weather, road accidents.
Our liability is limited to the amount of the ride, unless there is intent or gross negligence. For the transport of passengers we are insured in accordance with the statutory requirements for taxi transport.
Please check that you have everything with you when you get out. Lost property is kept for 30 days; we contact you proactively as soon as we find something.
11. Complaints
If something isn't right, let us know within 14 days of the ride at info@futuretaxi.nl or +31 6 18 54 91 45. We provide a substantive response within 14 days.
If we cannot resolve it together, you may bring the matter before the competent court in the Netherlands. Dutch law applies to this agreement.
12. Right of withdrawal
The statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for online purchases does not apply to passenger transport on an agreed date and time (Article 6:230p(e) of the Dutch Civil Code). The cancellation arrangement in clause 5 of these terms is what applies to your ride.
