The questions people ask most often before booking.
How and when do I pay?+
Within The Hague and its surroundings you pay nothing upfront: you settle the ride in the car at drop-off, by debit or credit card. Prefer to arrange it all in advance? Then you pay for the whole ride when booking, at a fixed price, by iDEAL or card. Business clients can ride on account with a monthly invoice including VAT breakdown. If we pick you up outside The Hague and its surroundings, you pay half the fare upfront, because we drive out to you empty first.
Can I cancel free of charge?+
Yes. Up to 24 hours before the agreed pickup time you can always cancel free of charge. If you settle the ride in the car you have paid nothing upfront, so cancelling costs you nothing after that either; do let us know, so we can fill the slot again. If you did pay upfront, the whole ride or half because we collect you outside our area, then cancelling within 24 hours we retain a €10.00 cancellation fee, or 25% of the fare for a ride coming into The Hague, within 3 hours 25% and within 2 hours the full fare, because the driver is already on the way. Never more than you paid. If we cannot drive the ride, you get everything back and we help arrange an alternative.
How late can I book?+
Online you book rides between 06:00 and 23:00, with at least 3 hours' notice for a same-day ride. Want to leave earlier, travel outside those hours, or the form no longer lets you? Call or WhatsApp us and it is often still possible. If you need to leave before 09:00, let us know during the day: that first morning slot is often already planned by late evening.
What does a taxi from The Hague to Schiphol cost?+
€120.00, from anywhere in The Hague and its surroundings and in both directions. That amount is fixed, whatever your district and whatever the traffic. If the calculated meter fare for your address works out lower than €120.00, you pay that lower price: the fixed price is a ceiling, not a surcharge.
What happens if my flight is delayed?+
Share your flight number when booking and we will track the arrival time and adjust the pickup automatically. On arrival at the airport you get 60 minutes of free waiting time from the actual landing time, so you don't pay for a delay you couldn't control.
How much luggage and how many passengers fit?+
The BYD Seal seats 4 passengers with 2 large suitcases. Travelling with more luggage or a bigger group? Call or WhatsApp us and we will arrange a colleague with a larger car, under the same quality agreement.
Why is there a €30 minimum fare?+
Even a short ride takes half an hour: driving to your address, the ride itself, and afterwards we are somewhere without a next customer. The minimum fare covers that time. For rides longer than roughly 8 kilometres it no longer applies. You simply pay the normal price shown to you upfront.
Is a child seat required in a taxi?+
No. The child seat requirement does not apply in a taxi, not even for children under 3. One rule does remain: without a child seat fitted, children shorter than 1.35 metres may not travel in the front, so your child sits in the back. From age 3 they simply use the seatbelt there. We don't carry a seat ourselves because we keep that space free for luggage. Bring your own and we'll fit it for you.
Are pets allowed?+
Yes, in a travel carrier or crate. Without a carrier we unfortunately cannot take your pet along.
Is there wifi in the car?+
Yes, you can use wifi on the way via the driver.
What does it cost if the driver has to wait for me?+
Waiting time at your request is charged at €1.00 per minute.
